Botezan is also known for serving up his fare at Hazel Park’s Frame, and over the years has worked in private catering and out of his food truck Taste Budz.Both Fontana and Botezan will serve as executive chefs and oversee Adelina’s day-to-day operations, according to the announcement’s press release.The menu will feature made-in-house pasta, and starters like focaccia, seared tuna crudo, sausage and peppers, and a roasted wagyu meatball. Entrees include Orata Asada, Bistecca Alla Fiorentina, Zuppa di Pesce, and a braised lamb shank.The interior features a 22-seat bar studded with artisanal glass tiles (Komorebi canal golden brown picket polished glass mosaic tiles — to be exact), designed in collaboration with the nearby Detroit architecture firm NOOR. The dining room has 88 seats, plus a 20-seat lounge, and a patio with 40 additional spots, set to open this spring. The 4,000 square foot space previously housed Calexico, a California-Mexican restaurantAdelina is not the first concept with Viviani’s name attached to it in metro Detroit — in 2019 he opened Bar Verona in Commerce Township (it's since closed, but there's a location in Washington Township). Adelina is located at 1040 Woodward Ave. It will be open Tuesdays through Thursdays 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sundays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. with two-hour validated parking in the nearby One Campus Martius parking garage.
