Local collective Art Groupie and art gallery and agency Playground Detroit are partnering to present Prism, a free three-day experience scheduled from April 29 to May 1. The events, which take place in locations across Detroit, merge color, sound, and scent to “center positivity, healing, and joy.”

The lineup kicks off on April 29 with The Gem Spa. Located at The Riverside (8711 Grand River Ave.), the immersive experience takes place from 7 p.m. to midnight and features a site-specific installation created by light artist Gerald Collins. Collins’ work will be paired with sounds from live musicians, DJs, and performers, including DJ Etta, Malik, Ahya Simone, and Salakastar. Castalia at Sfumato will provide custom cocktails paired with scents.

Neon Gutz, a party with high-energy DJ sets and an installation by light artist Patrick Ethen, takes place on April 30, also at The Riverside. DJs Don Juan, Kamiko, Malik, Ninety9, and Donovan Glover are scheduled to perform.

Finally, on May 1, Prism hosts Stretch, a sunset yoga class with Live Cycle Delight instructor Claire Amin and a community sound bath session with sound artist Sophiyah E. Located at the MI Honeybee Flowers’ studio (611 W. Philadelphia St.), the event will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and include an herbal tea-station, a floral installation, and massage therapy with masseuse Aretha Spa.
