, the illuminated walk-through forest in Commerce Township, is returning for its fourth year this weekend with a haunted forest filled with dazzling light displays themed to a spooky carnival.

The Haunted Forest: CarnEvil will kick off at the popular destination at 8 p.m. on Friday and will remain on display until Oct. 29, 2023, after which the trail will begin prepping for its holiday experience.

This all-new theme is said to be one of the trail’s β€œmost captivating and enchanting experiences” to date and features a one-mile outdoor wooded, manicured (not paved) trail past glowing ghosts, pumpkins, circus-themed displays, and more.

These light displays will be accompanied by music as well as live dance, music, and theatrical performances along the trail.

In addition to the trail itself, Glenlore Trails also offers special programming on select nights including bourbon and wine tasting events, kids’ crafts, trick-or-treating, and much more.

Glenlore Trails’ Haunted Forest: CarnEvil is supported by Bluewater Technologies Group, an event staging and AV company that supports both digital and physical sensory storytelling, and will be open Thursdays-Sundays Sept. 22-Oct. 29, 2023.

The opening times for the trail varies, but is typically around 7 p.m. with final entry at 10:15 p.m. Tickets are $25 for ages 13-64, $20 for seniors 65 and up, $15 for ages 4-12, and free for kids three and under.

The trail takes approximately one hour to complete.
