, the popular Dearborn-based workwear brand, launched a new line of workwear for women of all shapes, sizes, and lifestyles on Feb. 1 with its Women’s Spring 2024 Collection.

Inspired by the growing number of women in skilled trades, Carhartt’s newest collection features sweatshirts and tees that encompass softness, comfort, and durability, on and off the job.

Carhartt also partnered with for this collection to ensure environmental sustainability while maintaining durability that is tough enough to withstand any hardworking task. The fibers are derived from certified sources and can break down and compost at the end of its life.

A crewneck, short-sleeve sweatshirt, flower pocket T-shirt, graphic tee, and more are available in new spring colors, including Lilac Haze, Dried Clay, Coral Glow, and Tropical Peach. The new line combines soft, warm textures with reliable longevity and flexibility for women in skilled trades.

“After meeting with real women in the field, we repeatedly heard they needed lighter, more

comfortable clothes versatile enough for both on and off the job that could outlast their day,” said Samantha Denton, vice president of women’s category at Carhartt. “We went to work to design products that feel softer and lighter, wear better, and add breathability, without sacrificing durability. This collection is truly inspired by women, designed by women, and built for women who know the definition of hard work.”

Carhartt was established in 1889 in Detroit and has been America’s premium workwear brand ever since. The brand first supported working women in 1917 with the creation of women’s coveralls for industry workers.

In 2023, Carhartt made donations to Baby2Baby, an organization that supports working mothers in skilled trades. The brand has also dedicated its “For The Love of Labor” grants to organizations aimed at providing job training for women entering skilled trades last year. Carhartt has plans for similar initiatives from this collection in the spring.
