In this nonalcoholic riff on the whiskey sour, black tea takes the place of whiskey and provides a dry but flavorful base for the drink. How to Make the Black Tea SourΜύ
Ingredients
2 oz. cooled brewed black tea
ΒΎ oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice
Β½ oz. grenadine*
ΒΌ oz. simple syrup**
*GrenadineΜύ
(yields 6 oz.)
Β½ cup Pom Wonderful
Β½ cup sugar
1 Tbsp. pomegranate molasses (optional)
Heat Pom with sugar in a saucepan just until sugar dissolves. Let cool and store in refrigerator.Μύ
**Simple Syrup (yields 6 oz.)
Β½ cup sugar
Β½ cup water
Heat sugar and water in a saucepan until sugar dissolves. Let cool and store in refrigerator.Μύ
Directions
Combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker with a generous amount of ice. Shake well and strain into coupe or martini glass. Enjoy!
