“Colors of Detroit” a WDET 101.9 and Concert of Colors Benefit Gala
The βColors of Detroitβ benefit event on Dec. 1, 2023, helped raise funds for WDET and the annual diversity-themed summer music festival, Concert of Colors. The event, which was held at Detroitβs Motown Mansion, the former home of Berry Gordy, featured an evening of show-stopping cuisine made by chefs from top area restaurants including Baobab Fare, Casa Amado, Coop Detroit, and others. Plus, a silent auction, on-site broadcast of The Don Was Motor City Playlist with Ann Delisi of WDET, live performances by Bomba group Rican Struction, and DJ sets with WDETβs Ismael Ahmed and Nick Austin.
