Alternatives for Girls, an area organization that offers services to support women and girls who are experiencing homelessness, held its 2024 Role Model Celebration on March 7, 2024, in recognition of International Women’s Day. The event at The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation was chaired by Maxine and Marvin W. Beatty, and honored the accomplishments of Duc Nguyen Abrahamson, the Executive Director of the Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce; Violet Gintsis, a former banking executive and franchisee of Beyond Juicery + Eatery; and Dr. Marlo Rencher, the president of Detroit Means Business.
