Movement music festival returns to Hart Plaza this Memorial Day weekend, May 27-29, 2023, with more than 115 different acts from the electronic music space and related genres on six stages.
Among the artists on the 2023 lineup are Adam Port, AK, Beatnox, Buzz Goree, Carl Craig ft. Jon Dixon, Cybotron, Green Velvet, Kash Doll, Milan Ariel, Sheefy McFly, Skrillex, Three 6 Mafia, Uniiqu3, and many others.
It all kicks off on Saturday on The Star Gate Stage and the Pyramid Stage with performances by Niks and Al Ester, respectively. J. House & Masquenada, Erika, and Ladylike follow at 3 p.m. on the Waterfront Stage, Underground Stage, and Detroit Stage, and Stacey Hotwaxx Hale performs at 4 p.m. on the Movement Stage. Each stage offers a different themed experience. Musical performances vary by date and stage.
In addition to the music, Movement will feature a wide variety of food options βΜύfrom chicken on a stick and a cup of fries with vinegar to gourmet bowls and falafel sandwiches. Plus, the Titoβs River Garden, which offers βhidden refuge with one of a kind view of the riverβ for when you need a moment to chill.
Several notable music brands will be on site at the Movement Studio presented by Streetwater, which is located near the Detroit Stage, with instrument displays and tech demonstrations.
Guests will also be able to take in the 2023 Artist-in-Residence installation with 1XRUN, which features work by Detroit artists Amy Fisher Price and Kelly Golden inside the Pyramid Amphitheatre near the Pyramid Stage.
And and present their βRespect the Architects exhibition, which celebrates and explores some of the βunsung heroesβ in Detroitβs electronic musical community.
