A cool summer treat is only a walk-up window away for Birmingham residents. �鶹���� Detroit’s 2023 Restaurant of the Year pick, , is bringing back its to-go ice cream for a second season.

Daxton Delights, named after Madam’s host establishment, the , began serving up its frozen desserts last summer. It quickly garnered local attention for its gourmet reimagining of summer staples — sundaes, Push-Up Pops, and the now-extinct Choco Taco — sold straight from the Madam kitchen at an outdoor walk-up window.

With a variety of sundaes, gelatos, sorbets, and novelty ice cream sandwiches, Daxton Delights offers a sweet snack for any palate. The classic, but never basic, Vanilla Gelato, which is served in a house-made cone topped with rainbow sprinkles, makes for a picture-perfect, double-scoop delight.

Those with a taste for all things elevated — and boozy — will appreciate the Burnt Honey Sundae, complete with honeycomb and a decadent Bourbon caramel glaze, or the Golden Horse Sundae, with a Heaven’s Door Whiskey caramel drizzle, brownie bits, and (you guessed it!) actual gold flakes.

Nostalgia comes in full swing with Daxton’s twist on two ice cream truck favorites: Push-Up Pops and Choco Tacos.

Putting a Michigan spin on a childhood to-go go-to, the Madam masterminds freeze Detroit-based Faygo sodas into the beloved frozen treat form, taking the “pop” in Push-Up Pop to a whole new level.

Spicing up the Choco Taco — literally, Daxton Delights invokes all the best flavors of a Mexican hot chocolate, sans the “hot.” With chocolate cinnamon ice cream, a dark chocolate dip, and sweet and spicy candied peanuts all loaded into the iconic taco-shaped shell, this innovative recreation goes above and beyond filling the void left by the dearly departed ice cream truck staple.

Have furry friends tagging along? Don’t fret, as Daxton even offers a peanut butter ice cream Doggie Sundae with house-made sweet potato dog treats, so they can enjoy a cool treat while giving you a break from the begging to enjoy your own.

Daxton Delights is open Thurs.-Sat. from 6:30-9:30 p.m. all summer long. The walk-up window is located on the northwest side of the Daxton Hotel, . Prices range from $6-$14.
