Three Blake’s Hard Cider Cocktail Recipes to Try Over the Holidays

The local farm and cidery shares three simple drink recipes perfect for your holiday gatherings.

The holidays are here, and with all the shopping, planning, and cooking this time of year, you may be looking for a fun cocktail to impress your friends and extended family at your holiday gatherings —or maybe you just need a drink after all the stress.

Either way, offers these three simple drink recipes made specifically for the holidays. Two incorporate the brand’s new imperial-style hard cider, “Grand Cherry,” and the third uses Blake’s Autumn Cranberry Wine along with their “Mule de Pomme” hard cider.

Fashioned ’46

Ingredients

  • ½ tsp. brown sugar
  • 2-3 dashes of cherry aromatic bitters
  • 4 oz. Blake’sHard CiderGrand Cherry
  • 5 oz.bourbon
  • 1 large ice cube or sphere
  • Orange peel, for garnish
  • Luxardo cherry, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add bourbon, brown sugar, and bitters. Shake.
  2. Place ice in rocks glass and pour cocktail into glass
  3. Add Grand Cherry
  4. Garnish with orange peel and cherries, if desired

Grand Cosmo

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. cherry juice
  • 4 oz. Blake’s Hard Cider Grand Cherry
  • 1 oz. cherry vodka (may substitute unflavored vodka)
  • 1 oz. Cointreau
  • 1 oz. fresh squeezed orange juice
  • Orange slice, for garnish
  • Fresh sage, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add cherry juice, vodka, Cointreau, and orange juice with several ice cubes
  2. Shake and strain contents into a martini glass
  3. Add Grand Cherry.
  4. Garnish with Orange slice and fresh sage, if desired

Yule Mule

Ingredients

  • ½ oz. Lime Simple Syrup
  • 2 oz. Blake’s Autumn Cranberry Wine
  • 2 oz. Ginger Beer
  • Top With Blake’s Hard Cider Mule de Pomme
  • Lime slice, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a rocks glass or copper mug, add ice, simple syrup, wine, and ginger beer
  2. Stir
  3. Top with Mule de Pomme
  4. Garnish with lime
