Over the last year, ΒιΆΉ·¬ΊΕ Detroit has published hundreds of articles in print and online on metro Detroit food, development, arts, fashion, travel, and so much more. Here’s a look back on the 10 you loved most in 2023.

1. A Look at Metro Detroit’s Last Drive-in Theater

2. Roller Coasters Opening in the Midwest This Summer

Built by the same company that brought you Cedar Point’s Steel Vengeance, Wildcat’s Revenge at Hersheypark will take you on a wild ride up 140 feet and through four inversions at speeds of up to 62 mph. We got the adrenaline pumping in our May 2023 issue with a look at some of the newest roller coasters coming to the Midwest and surrounding area. The list included details on Cedar Point’s Wild Mouse, Zambezi Zinger at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, and Wildcat’s Revenge at Hersheypark in Pennsylvania. This story has been captivating our audience since its publishing in our October 2022. It features details on the long-awaited opening of the reimagined Michigan Central Station and The Book Depository including some background on both buildings and what visitors can expect. 4. The Best of Michigan’s Beach Towns

Our July 2023 issue put a spotlight on our state’s greatest assets: The Great Lakes. It included 65 reasons the lakes are so great, sand dunes worth a visit, a guide to our lighthouses, tips on sailing the lakes, and the best of Michigan’s beach town, which outlined several charming beach towns and why you should visit them. 5. New Flyover Videos and Images Show Progress on the Gordie Howe International Bridge

In the spring, the teams constructing this new bridge to Canada released flyover video and images of the progress that has been made, and we featured these assets on hourdetroit.com to give you a birdseye view of what was going on with construction at the time. 6. Where to Get Lobster Rolls in Metro Detroit

Metro Detroiters seem to really love this coastal delight from New England as this list of spots that serve Maine, Connecticut, and other varieties of lobster roll has been popping since we originally published the story online. Find a restaurant serving them near you in our full list.

7. Cedar Point Tickets, ΒιΆΉ·¬ΊΕs, New Rides and More for 2023

8. Top Docs List 2023

Dr. George Yoo, Dr. Latonya Riddle, and Dr. Paul Chittick were among the thousand-plus doctors that made our 2023 Top Docs list.

This year’s Top Docs List featured over 1,000 of metro Detroit’ leading physicians in a wide breadth of specialties including adolescent medicine, cardiac surgery, endocrinology, gynecology, and many others β€” all nominated by their peers. Check out the full list.
